Loreto Bay, MX
About Us
We’re Tanis and Todd, and like so many who discover Loreto, we came for a visit… and couldn’t leave without finding a place to call our own.
What started as a simple family trip quickly turned into something much more. With every return, we find ourselves falling in love with Loreto Bay all over again—the pace, the people, the beauty, and the way life seems to slow down in all the right ways.
Over the years, we’ve created our own traditions here. A day trip to Isla Coronado is always a must. Morning walks often end with warm, authentic croissants from the beloved French bakery in the village. Friday nights usually find us dancing at Pedro’s, and no trip is complete without a visit to Azul’s—our favourite restaurant anywhere in Baja.
When we’re not in Loreto, we’re at home on our third-generation family farm in Langley, British Columbia. Life there is a little more lively, shared with our horses, dogs, goats—and our famously feisty rooster, Cluck Norris.
Casa Chica is more than just a vacation home to us—it’s a place we truly love, and we take great pride in sharing it with others. We welcome guests who appreciate the charm, tranquility, and spirit of Loreto, and who will enjoy and care for our home as if it were their own.
Our hope is that your time here becomes something you return to—again and again—just like we do.

All About Loreto
Nestled between the rugged Sierra de la Giganta mountains and the sparkling Sea of Cortez, Loreto is one of Baja’s most charming and authentic coastal towns. Rich in history, natural beauty, and laid-back culture, it offers a true escape from crowded tourist destinations.
As the first Spanish settlement in Baja California, Loreto blends old-world character with modern comforts. You’ll find cobblestone streets, a welcoming local community, and a relaxed pace that invites you to slow down and soak it all in.
